Wire Wrapped Oval Silversmith Crazy Lace Agate Pendant

This is a crazy lace oval necklace handmade with antiqued copper wire. Very pretty mix of earth colors such as tan, brown, and rust. Pendant is 1.75 inches tall and .75 inches wide. The copper wire has been oxidized to give the pendant an aged, vintage look, and a clear, protective coating has been applied to the wires so they won't tarnish or change color over time.

Crazy Lace Agate is a variety of banded Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. It is predominantly white, with layers of creamy browns, blacks and grays. Some may include layers of yellow ochre, gold, scarlet and red. Agate is sometimes called the earth rainbow because, in its various forms, the concentric bands in nature form nearly every color the earth can produce, including a colorless form.
